Have you worked with multiple dog trainers and behaviourists with limited results?
Is your dog’s behaviour unpredictable, appearing to have no predictable triggers or pattern?
Has there behaviour suddenly changed for the worse?
Does your dog have Jekyll & Hyde personality?
Answering yes to any of the above questions indicates that underlying pain/discomfort could be causing or attributing to your dogs behaviour.
What you need is to work with a professional who can help you identify potential areas of pain/discomfort in your dog.
Very rarely will a dog whine, whimper or cry out in pain. Often the signs of pain are far more subtle and hard to spot.
This leads to the dog suffering in pain for months and even years, with the owner suffering too.
Whilst there are physical signs of pain such as limping, panting, excessive licking and chewing.
Behaviour can also be an indicator of pain.
Resource guarding, reactivity, excessive barking, noise sensitivity, hyperactivity, ingesting non-food items, reluctance to walk/engage in previously enjoyable activities and growling/snapping when touched.
Getting to the bottom of these behaviours requires a full assessment of your dog.
This is where a Dynamic Dog Assessment comes in.
In a recent study carried out in Lincoln University by Daniel Mills, it was found that approximately 80% of dogs that presented with behavioural issues had some form of undiagnosed pain that was a direct cause or adding to a problematic behaviour.
As a Dynamic Dog Practitioner, I have been trained to identify abnormalities in a dog's gait and posture. This plays a big part in identifying areas of potential pain/discomfort.
I have also received special training, to identify behaviours that can be caused by pain.
This can be carried out in person or online. During this assessment we look into EVERY aspect of your dogs life, so be prepared!!
Videos & pictures of your dog's daily activities are required - a step by step guide is available to everyone.
Using all the evidence gathered, a detailed report highlighting any areas of concern with supporting evidence is created.
Once the report is ready, we will discuss the findings, next steps and you will be prepared for the vet visit. The report is then sent to the vet.
After your appointment, support is available to guide you through the next steps. Along with a simple behaviour management plan.
The great thing about this program is that it can be done 100% remotely!! So if you have a dog who is reactive to people it's not a problem. I will be on hand to help you whether it be via phone, text, email or video chat.
Absolutely!! You can spread the cost of this program over 2 monthly payments.
Of course!! Should you wish to add one of our dog training programs alongside our dynamic dog assessment, the price of the assessment drops to £150!
That all depends on you and your dog. In some cases, we can be done with the evidence gathering in a week. Usually, it takes about 2 weeks. Should you need help with any part of the evidence gathering, just contact me.
If your dog is unable to perform any part of the assessment, we will not force them to. Just let me know what parts they are unable to do. Not being able to perform any part of this assessment is important information, so please don't worry.
Yes, you have 3 weeks to gather all the evidence. If you are having trouble or something unavoidable comes up, just let me know. If you don't or simply take too long, you will be put to the back of the list.
I'd love to hear from you.
